What’s the coffee situation?
Worry not, coffee-drinkers! We have ground coffee, instant, and Keurig cups waiting for you at the house. No need to pack your own, unless you want to. Additionally, the kitchen is fully stocked with your common condiments to cook meals at home.
What items should I pack?
We’re so excited for your upcoming stay. Here is a list of helpful things to pack to help prepare for the stay at Aqua Casita:
1. Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, or sweater depending on weather. And your own beach towels if you prefer.
2. Boots or shoes that are safe for walking on pebble beach with shells. A pair of outdoor slippers to walk around the patios is also helpful.
3. Life vests for water activities. (we do have some to borrow at the house but can’t guarantee your size)
4. If you plan to collect shellfish, make sure you have obtained your Washington Shellfishing license. Guests are expected to follow the state’s shellfish harvesting rules to protect the shellfish ecosystem.
5. If your pets will join you per reservation, please bring their leash/food/pet bowls/bedding/blankets to make their stay comfortable.
What are some fun activities at Aqua Casita?
Here’s a list of some fun things you can do at the house:
-Slow walk on the beach at low tide to explore or swim, kayak, paddleboard, even rowboat at high tides
-Go fishing from private dock or take your boat out to the Sound. There’s so much wildlife to see.
-Take swings while enjoying the view and your favorite company our mini-golf putt putt.
-Roast S-mores and admire the stars at night by the outdoor firepit
-Relax at the house with board games, books or hang out in the game room. There’s arcade, Switch dock station, card table, and air hockey too!
-Enjoy movies in our large living room on the 85-inch TV with surround sound or sing your hearts out on the karaoke machine

I want to harvest Shellfish in the area. Where should I go?
Hood Canal is well known for its bounty of shellfish in the area. Here’s how to get started
– Make sure you have a valid Shellfish permit to collect seafood from public beaches.
– Bring a good pair of boots as it can get muddy
– Tools you’ll need: small gardening rake, regular rake, buckets or bags to store your harvest

Are you pet-friendly?
Yes! We do ask that your dog(s) are well-behaved and never left unattended at Aqua Casita. We charge a pet fee (non-refundable) of $100 per stay (up to 2 dogs). Please note that Aqua Casita is next to Highway 101. Although we do have gates, it’s recommended that your dogs are on leash while outside of the house. You are responsible for picking up after your dog. If waste is left outside, the cleaners have to make an extra effort to pick it up. You will be charged extra for this service. Please be courteous and do not leave the dog waste for the cleaners.
If you need to update an existing reservation to include a pet, please contact us with your reservation number so we can add the pet fee and confirm your updated booking details.
What are some things to do in this area of Hood Canal?

How close is Aqua Casita to the Olympics National Park?
We are at the foot of Staircase Rapids of the Olympics National Park (ONP), about 25 mins away. It is the less traveled part of ONP but nonetheless, still full of nature’s beauty. For more details on visiting the park, check out the ONP website.
Do you offer Discount Codes?
Yes, we are glad you asked. We offer our returning guests a $100 discount. If you have already stayed, be sure to mention this during your booking inquiry! Additionally, we offer our newsletter subscribers and social media exclusive discount codes. Occasionally, we will share these codes via our communications (emails, posts, or newsletters), especially when we have last minute availabilities. What are your Nightly rates?
Our rates vary depending on availability and demands in the area. Refer to our “Rates & Dates” section for an idea of rates. If you would like a reservation quote, please send us a booking inquiry. Note that quotes are not guaranteed to block your reservation dates until you’ve finalized your booking.
What are your Cancelation policies?
We understand plans change. Feel free to purchase your own travel insurance for the needed protection during the booking process.
The following is what we follow in case of a cancelation:
Guest receives 97% (less $100.00 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 30 days before arrival
Guest receives 47% (less $100.00 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival
No refunds within 14 days of arrival. The 3% covers payment processing fees that is already paid Stripe, our payment processor.
Method of Refund:
Refunds, after deducting the cancellation fee and any non-refundable fees (like Travel Insurance, credit card processing fees, 3% as stated above) will be issued through the same method of payment used for the original reservation
